A Church For The Generations…

Here at Church of the Messiah, we are blessed with the widest variety of generations in our church family. Whether you are the very young or advanced in years, you are a beloved saint and we have a place and a home for you! We call ourselves “the church for the generations” which is inspired by the verses in the letter to the Ephesians that read: “Glory to God whose power, working in us, can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine: glory to Him from generation to generation in the church, and in Christ Jesus for ever and ever! Amen.” So feel free to join us and see what it is like to be a part of a multi-generational family that is rich and diverse here at Church of the Messiah.

We’re Evangelical

As a precious possession of Christian faith, we hold that the Holy Scriptures are the inspired, infallible Word of God and that they contain all things necessary to salvation and godly living.

We also embrace the evangelical distinctives that underline the importance of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a holy life through grace of the Holy Spirit, evangelism, and outreach through missionary activity.

We’re Charismatic

Holy Scripture abounds with instances of the power of Holy Spirit and the gifts that may come with receiving the Spirit of God. We believe that those gifts are available for believers today just as they were two thousand years ago and before.

We anticipate and look for the Holy Spirit to move in our services and are open to prophetic words, healings, and whatever miraculous God is willing to work through us!

We’re Sacramental

From the beginning of the Church, after the resurrection of Christ, many men and women have faithfully served in the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church.

From the richness of our historic heritage, we are currently seeing a recovery of the beauty and authenticity of the ancient liturgies, symbols of worship, and the regular celebration of the Holy Communion, which the early Christians observed. We believe in seven sacraments, the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist, and Biblically based worship through the use of historic liturgies and traditions.

Nourished by the Word of God and His Sacraments, we worship The Lord, make disciples, and send them into the world empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Our Vision

In this season, led by the Holy Spirit, we will steward God’s gifts by welcoming those He sends to us, making disciples who go into the world, and establishing a permanent home, so that the next generation inherits a church that is alive and growing: anchored in the Word, Spirit, and sacraments, and sent forth into the world.
