Advent Begins This Sunday
Advent is the four Sundays which precede Christmas which means that Advent begins this Sunday, November 29th. “Advent” comes from an ancient Latin word meaning “to come”. The season of Advent is a time of preparation when Christians throughout the world and throughout the ages have focus not only on Our Lord’s first coming in Bethlehem all those years ago, but one His impending Second Coming as well. As part of our celebration of Advent this year, we will be looking at what it means to truly prepare for the return of Christ. In order to really get ready, we must reach out to other and reflect in on changes we need to make in our own personal lives. We encourage you to take time out of the ever-increasingly busy holiday season this year and make time to prepare this Advent. Services are every Sunday morning beginning at 10 o’clock.
